Travel Tips

The conference will be held on the CWRU campus which is located in the University Circle neighborhood. University Circle is the academic and cultural center of Cleveland and is home to world renowned institutions such as Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Orchestra, Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland Institute of Music, and University Hospitals.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is the main airport serving the Cleveland metro area. University Circle is around 30 minutes' drive from the airport. Ridesharing apps such as Uber, and Lyft are common. But please pay attention to the pickup location which can be either at the upper (departures) or lower (arrivals) roadways. If you prefer a local taxi, Ace Taxi and Americab are Cleveland Hopkins authorized taxi companies. Please visit this website for more information. If you are interested in renting a car, you can find the information here.

If you prefer public transportation, Greater Cleveland Regional Transportation Authority's (GCRTA) Red Line offers a direct train from the airport to the University Circle. Little Italy – University Circle station will be closest to the venue. The train usually takes around 40 minutes from the airport to reach this station, however, due to ongoing updates to the infrastructure there may be delays. You can use Transit App to track the trains and to pay for the rides. You can also purchase a smartcard at vending machines at the stations. (Note: Public transportation in majority of the U.S. is not as seamless as it is in other parts of the world. Please feel free to contact the GC - Sanmukh Kuppannagari, who uses it on a daily basis with any questions or concerns that you may have)

Update 7/8/26: Unfortunately, there seems to be some track maintenance going on during the week of the conference. So, GCRTA is offering buses from the airport station to the Westpark Station. At the Westpark station, you can board the train that will take you to the CWRU campus. See this alert for details.
