Call for Industry Talks

Overview and Topics

The 35th ACM International Symposium on High-Performance Parallel and Distributed Computing (HPDC) invites submissions for its Industry Track. This session provides a premier platform for industry practitioners, engineers, and architects to share insights, deployment experiences, and systemic challenges in high-performance and distributed computing.

The Industry Track welcomes talk submissions of a 1-page extended abstract (excluding references) that discuss practical impact, large-scale deployments, and real-world lessons learned. The talk should generally focus on describing innovative commercial products, internal infrastructure advancements, or collaborative projects between industry and academia. The topics of interest, in support of the conference, include but are not limited to:

  • Cloud, Cluster, and Edge computing, Continuum platforms
  • Big data
  • Massively multicore systems
  • AI for systems
  • Systems for AI
  • Distributed computing
  • Hybrid memory systems
  • Disaggregated storage, accelerators, and memory systems
  • Quantum computing and data management
  • Extreme-scale computing systems
  • Distributed Storage Systems
  • Performance Monitoring, Measurement, and Analysis
  • Power-aware systems

Important Dates AoE
  • May 15, 2026. Industry Talks Submission Deadline

  • June 1, 2026. Notification of Acceptance (Industry Talks)

Submission Guidelines

We invite authors to submit a 1-page extended abstract (excluding references) describing the work to be presented.

Format:

  • Submissions should follow the ACM Proceedings Style (LaTeX: \documentclass[sigconf]{acmart})

Content:

  • Clearly outline the problem being solved
  • Describe the industrial context (e.g., workloads or deployment scales)
  • Highlight the key technical takeaways for the HPDC audience

Non-Commercial Policy:

  • Presentations must be technical in nature
  • Submissions that are primarily sales-oriented or lack technical depth will not be accepted

Review Process

Submissions will be reviewed in a single-blind process by the Industry Program Committee and evaluated based on:

  1. Relevance to HPDC topics
  2. Technical impact
  3. Value of lessons learned for the broader community

Presentation Format

Accepted submissions will be invited to give a 15–20 minute talk during a dedicated Industry Session at the conference in Cleveland. High-quality abstracts will also be included in the conference proceedings and published in the ACM Digital Library.
